The Challenge

Reaching women who need help most

Terrafem supports women with foreign backgrounds facing violence in Sweden, offering legal aid, housing, and counseling in 74 languages. But many women didn't know their rights or that support existed.

The challenge was to communicate a sensitive subject, violence against women, while maintaining warmth and accessibility for diverse, multilingual audiences across the country.

We produced five films, in Arabic, Persian, Tigrinya, Ukrainian, and Swedish, each addressing women directly in their native language. The message was clear and human: "You have the right to be treated with respect. No one has the right to insult, humiliate or hit you."

The films were distributed across YouTube and DOOH, reaching audiences in the communities that need this message most. The average watch time of 17 seconds shows the films genuinely held attention.
